What is PLR content?
PLR stands for Private Label Rights. This means you can purchase content with the right to label it as your own. PLR content can be sold to multiple bloggers, so it is highly encouraged that you rewrite your PLR content to give it your own voice and make it stand out from others who purchased the same content. PLR content can be a great way to jump-start your blog, but remember to always put your own spin on it! This will help you reduce the competition in Google with bloggers who also purchased the same content.
Why use PLR content?
PLR content can be purchased by bloggers from all seasons. Whether you are just starting out as a blogger or have been blogging for a long time. Everyone can and SHOULD purchase PLR content.
PLR content is great if you:
- are experiencing writer’s block and need to get a headstart on a topic
- are looking for affordable content to fill your blog
- are a beginner and have no idea where to start with creating content
What can I do to make it stand out from others?
It is highly encouraged to change up some of the content you purchased. This will help reduce the competition in Google with other bloggers who also purchased the same content. Here are a few tips on what you can do to make your content stand out from the others.
- Do NOT just copy and paste the content into your blog post to publish. Google does not like exact duplicate content on the web.
- You can rewrite the instructions part of a recipe, to make it sound as if you were the original writer.
- You can double up the recipe ingredients, or split them in half.
- You can put the images in a picture collage
- You can write ALT text when you post the images
- You can add content to give more background information on the recipe (where the recipe originated, or go into detail on special ingredients)
- You can add which tools you need to use to create this recipe, and share affiliate links to the tools.
